- Abstract
- The purpose of the study was to see if a person's perceived attachment style and experiences as a child affects how they behave in and look at relationships in adulthood. Previous research has shown that at the age of one a child already starts to store memories and experiences of how it is to integrate with others. Within psychology this is referred to as inner working models which stay with an individual through life. Therefore, we had the following research question: How does an individual look at their relationships in childhood and does the respondent see a connection with their current relationships, if so, in what way? With the help of John Bowlby’s attachment theory, a semi-structured interview was created, which was then used on... (More)

The result showed that the perceived attachment cannot completely define the individuals adult relationships but is still significant for the individuals view on and behaviour in relationships today. - Abstract (Swedish)
(More)
