Abstract (Swedish)
The purpose of this paper is to examine if foreign aid leads to a higher level of development when it is given to countries with higher levels of gender equality. I have used three different models, using two definitions of development and gender equality to measure approximately 60 countries over the time periods 2004-2017 and 1994-2017. My results indicate that depending on the definition on development the separate and interactive effects of foreign aid and gender equality will differ. Due to the dissimilar results of this study, further studies are needed to answer whether foreign aid leads... (More)
