Hur strategisk internkommunikation skapar hållbara organisationer

- Abstract (Swedish)

(Less) - Abstract
- In our global society sustainability has become increasingly more important for organizations in different kinds of businesses. Organizations tend to favour to communicate externally that they are working with sustainability instead of com- municating internally. In order to impact and implement a more sustainable busi- ness strategy we argue that leaders need to prioritize and develop their internal communication in order to make the most out of employees’ expertise.

This study contributes to the field of strategic communication by looking at a single-case within the business of renting movable modules. Furthermore, this is an organisation that has expanded in recent years. From a social constructivist perspective and with a qualitative research method this study examines the inter- nal aspects of communication through a qualitative triangulation. The three per- spectives used were the leaders intention of the communication, the communica- tion channels and finally the reception of the communication among the employ- ees. Through deep interviews of employees we have found three communication challenges within the areas of clarity, searchability and participation. Furthermore, our study has shown the need for the leader in this kind of organisation to adapt their digital communication channels with an understanding of the employees needs and demands. (Less)
