The essay showed that a social liberalistic and conservative political discourse shaped the movement, which’s activity in turn influenced the construction of the urban landscape and architecture of the properties and gardens. Furthermore, the study revealed that the area has been heavily gentrified due to commodification on the housing market and intensive renovations, now housing the creative middle class, with residential sales prices far above the city's average. In conclusion, both the movement and the gentrification of Västra Sorgenfri revealed to be permeated by a displacement of the working-class subjectivity. (Less)
