This essay aims to investigate the phenomenon of being able to crush the ​glass ceiling through critical discourse analysis and intersectional theory. The material for the survey consists of the self-help book ​Bortom glastaket (Sedell & Gustafsson 2015). The purpose is to critically examine who is presented as the subject to be able to crush the glass ceiling, what prerequisites are required to do so and what structural effects this gives. Critical discourse analysis is used both as a theoretical framework and method.
