- Att utveckla kollektivtrafiken är ett viktigt steg för att uppnå de klimatmål Sverige har åtagit sig att följa. Ett verktyg i utformningen och kapacitetsutvecklingen av hållplatserna är trafiksimulering. Detta arbete utforskar hur hållplatser kan på bästa sätt modelleras och kalibreras för fotgängare i programmet Vissim som är en simuleringsmjukvara utvecklad av företaget PTV Group.
Vid kalibreringen delades plattformen in i fyra olika zoner där densiteten (personer per m2) mättes. Även restiden för bussarna under simuleringen mättes för att jämföra mot resultaten från fältstudien. Kalibreringen genomfördes i två steg: geometrisk kalibrering samt parameterstudier.

Den geometriska kalibreringen jämförde fyra olika simuleringsmodeller där den designerade väntytan var utformad på olika sätt. Det alternativ som stämde bäst överens med resultaten från fältstudien var den där väntytan var uppdelad i flera olika ytor med ett specifikt flöde till var yta. Denna modell användes därför som bas vid vidare parameterstudier.
Parameterstudien undersökte hur parametrarna tau och react_to_n påverkade densiteten och lasttiden. Tau är parametern som beskriver fördröjningen i förhållande till fotgängarnas acceleration och react_to_n beskriver hur många av de omgivande fotgängarna som påverkar fotgängaren.
Den genomsnittliga densiteten för varje zon på plattformen ökar då tau ökar. Störst ökning sker i den sektion som ligger närmast bussens främre dörr då dessa stannar på plattformen. Denna zon är även den enda zon på hållplatsen där densiteten ökar då react_to_n ökar. Densiteten i de övriga sektionerna påverkas inte nämnvärt. Den genomsnittliga lasttiden för alla busslinjer ökar både då tau och react_to_n ökar.
Av studiens resultat kan man tolka att det baserat på densiteten finns tre olika typer av zoner: lastzon, transportzon och väntzon. Det behövs dock vidare studier för att avgöra om denna indelning är optimal. (Less) - Abstract

The geometric calibration compared four different simulation models where the designated waiting area was designed in different ways. The models were ranked based on the deviation of the mean density and boarding time from the results of the field study. The model chosen was the one where the waiting area was divided into several different surfaces with a specific flow to each surface. This model was therefore used as a base for further studies of the parameters.
The parameter study investigated how the parameters tau and react_to_n affected the density and boarding time. Tau is the parameter that describes the delay in relation to pedestrian acceleration. React_to_n describes how many of the surrounding pedestrians that affects the pedestrian.
The average density for each zone increases as tau increases. The largest increase occurs in the section closest to the front door of the bus as it stops on the platform. This zone is also the only zone at the platform where the density increases as react_to_n increase. The density of the other sections is not significantly affected. The average load time for all bus lines increases both as tau and react_to_n increase.
By examining the density of the bus stop, it can be divided in to three different kinds of zones: loading zone, transport zone and waiting zones. Further studies are needed to determine if these zones are the optimal sectioning of the platform. (Less)
