Abstract
In their 2019 election campaign for the European Parliament (EP) the Swedish radical left party Vänsterpartiet decided to drop their demand that Sweden should leave the European Union (EU). The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to examine if the change could be understood as a gradual europeanisation. This will be examined using the theoretical framework of Robert Ladrech which is a tool for analysis of the europeanisation of political partys. This will be examined using the theoretical framework of Robert Ladrech which is a tool for analysis of the europeanisation of political partys. Using qulitative text analysis the theoretical framework is applied on the electoral platforms used by Vänsterpartiet in the European elections of 1999, 2004, 2014 and 2019. The result show some support for the claim that Vänsterpartiet has become more europeanised. (Less)
