(2020) PSYK11 20192Department of Psychology
- Abstract
- The aim of this study was to examine which factors motivate university students at a future workplace. By using a quantitative research method, data was collected through a paper survey, where the research tool consisted of a self-assessment questionnaire. The survey was constructed on the basis of investigating work motivation from two perspectives, following economic factors and work characteristics. The results revealed that there was a trend among participants to evaluate Feedback and Skill Variety work characteristics highly, where the predominant number of significance tests showed significant results. In addition, a pattern could be interpreted among the economic motivational factors in the study. Economic factors regarding a fair... (More)

Economic factors regarding a fair wage were proven to be essential among the participants, where all significance tests unanimously produced a significant result. Stable income was another economic factor that was highly valued in the survey, where one of two tests showed significance. However, as the survey results showed a relatively large variance in terms of the responses, it can thus also be concluded that work motivation can be seen as something strongly linked to the individual. - Abstract (Swedish)
(More)
