Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate the effects of the reorganization of the Swedish Police Authority through the lens of two separate police stations that differ in many aspects. By conducting a plethora of interviews with employees from these police stations, it becomes clear that both stations have experienced significant problems, as a result of the reorganization. With that said, these issues vary between the stations, due to their individual characteristics and preconditions. The theoretical foundation that helps substantiate and explain the results is, for example, that standardization and uniformity have a tendency to create problems and a divide within dynamic organizations.
