- Abstract
- The task is to analyze the interaction between three bodies in the same circuit. This is about the organizational field of financing a museum. The museum used as a case is Regan Vest - part of the North Jutland Historical Museum.
Through a qualitative study of relevant sources, such as previous research in the field, legislative texts and relevant guidelines, it must use the collected interview material to form the basis for the task's analysis. Interviews made are semi-structured in order to have as much dialogue with informants as possible. Through a qualitative study of relevant sources, such as previous research in the field, legislative texts and relevant guidelines, it must use the collected interview material to form the basis for the task's analysis. Interviews made are semi-structured in order to have as much dialogue with informants as possible. The informants were selected based on their extensive, in-depth knowledge of the case and the project itself, and based on their knowledge of the various aspects of the thesis’ problem areas. The relevant informants who are to give an insight into the task field are thus representatives of the three actors that are the focal point of the task, namely from the North Jutland Historical Museum as a case, Realdania as a fund and the Culture Agency as authority in the museum area. Using relevant theory in the form of new institutional theory as well as Pierre Bourdieu's field analysis, I will try to analyze together with the collected empirical data how the two actors, the state and the fund, are similar in relation to the requirements and review of projects they support. The thesis will analysze whether the amount of money can be measured against the requirements and objectives the two actors have for the case. It must also be analyzed whether there is a community of interest in this circuit and what conflicts and potentials there must be in this cultural field itself with funding as the focal point.
This will lead to a discussion of whether the state's role has been undermined and whether the funds have a greater impact on new projects in museums in Denmark. (Less)
