The Digital Friend

- Abstract
- This thesis examines the relationship between the architect
and its digital tools, from the perspective that technology
constantly is evolving. We believe that the architect’s relationship
with its tools changes with the advancement of
technology. That being said, we developed an investigative
methodology based on generative design that we later
applied to a more conventional architectural project. The
implication of a methodology based on generative design,
and subsequently artificial intelligence, meant that we could
work with data in a completely new way. Instead of sketching

challenges, therefore, we also evaluated the methodology
and further discussed how we think architects will use new
digital technology in the future. (Less)
