The thesis consists of a case study which is used as the method. The study analyses the actions of the Christian Democrats but in addition to that it also analyses the Swedish voters. The analysis of Swedish voters offers another layer of perspective. The analysis will tell what the Swedish voters requested in regards of political issues and if the Christian Democrats could meet those requests. The study shows that the Christian Democrats made strategic actions in the parliamentary arena and the electoral arena and could in some aspects also meet the demand of the voters. (Less)
