- Den här uppsatsen berör det kontroversiella ämnet om sena aborter, det vill säga de som sker efter vecka 18 men innan vecka 22. Syftet med uppsatsen är att jämföra vilka etiska och samhällspolitiska värderingar som kan ligga till grund för bestämmelser kring sena aborter i Sverige och Finland. Utredningen är därmed komparativ och rättsdogmatisk för att undersöka de nuvarande lagstiftningarna och doktrinen kring dessa. Utredningen visar att Finlands restriktivare lagstiftning troligtvis har influerat det samhällspolitiska klimatet samt etiska värderingarna vilket innebär att attityden till abort också är något mer restriktiv än i Sverige. Syftet med uppsatsen är att jämföra vilka etiska och samhällspolitiska värderingar som kan ligga till grund för bestämmelser kring sena aborter i Sverige och Finland. Utredningen visar att Finlands restriktivare lagstiftning troligtvis har influerat det samhällspolitiska klimatet samt etiska värderingarna vilket innebär att attityden till abort också är något mer restriktiv än i Sverige. En likhet mellan länderna är dock att det finns en åsikt om att abortlagstiftningen i vardera land behöver ses över och förtydligas. Medan det finns en önskan från vissa i Finland att har en friare lagstiftning som inte kräver anledningar för aborter finns inte en lika stark förfrågan för en högre abortgräns. I Sverige värnas aborträtten högt och därmed finns också en önskan om att den förblir så fri som den är idag och att de vetenskapliga framstigen inte ska påverka denna för mycket. (Less)

- This report discusses the controversial subject of late term abortions, which are the ones executed after week 18 but before week 22. The purpose for this report is to compare what ethical and political values which will form the foundation for legislation about late term abortions. To research this I will compare the different legislations and the reasons behind these and also articles about this issue from the different countries. The research shows that The more restrictive legislation in Finland has probably influenced the political climate and ethical values which means that the attitude towards abortion overall is more restrictive than in Sweden. - This report discusses the controversial subject of late term abortions, which are the ones executed after week 18 but before week 22. On similarity between the countries however is that there is an opinion that the legislation in each country needs to be examined, evaluated and clarified. While there is a few people in Finland asking for a more free right to abortion which does not require for the woman to state the reason for the abortion, there is not as much noise about the upper limit for abortion to be higher. In Sweden the right to abortion is strongly protected and there is a wish for it to continue to be as free as it is today and that the scientifical progress should not have too much of an impact on this.
