- Syftet med studien var att se hur fenomenet utbrändhet framställs i media. Studien utgår ifrån två svenska tidningar där urvalet gjorts utifrån frågeställningarna om orsak, uttryck samt lösningar. Studien har begränsats med ett fokus på arbetstagare inom människovårdande yrken. Den valda metoden var en kvalitativ innehållsanalys. De teoretiska ramar analysen lutat sig mot är socialkonstruktivism, identitetstyper och anspråksformulering. Resultaten har visat att medias bild av utbrändhet är samstämmig med den tidigare forskningen. De vanligaste orsakerna som framkommer är dålig självkänsla och en otillräcklig arbetsmiljö. The aim with this essay was to study how burnout is portrayed in massmedia. The study relies on two swedish journals where the selection was made regarding to the questions cause, expression and solution with a focus on people employed in the human care business. The chosen method was a qualitative content analysis. This study is based on the theoretical frame of social constructivism, identity and theory of claim. The results of this study show that medias picture of burnout is very consistent with the current known science. Key factors for causing burnout is low self esteem and an insufficient work environment and the main expression is feeling fatigue and shame about the diagnosis. The...
