Abstract
The aim of this qualitative study was to investigate how the professionals' linked to LARO-clinics experience the possibility of designing an individually adapted treatment. We conducted five semi-structured interviews with various professions from different LARO-clinics in Skåne. For our analysis, we have applied Lipsky’s theory of Street-level bureaucracy and discretion. We have also used Antonovsky's salutogenic perspective and KASAM (Sense of context) with the concepts of comprehensibility, manageability and meaningfulness. The results of the study shows that all interviewees feel that they can influence and have room for maneuver regarding the design of the psychosocial interventions. The results of the study shows that all interviewees feel that they can influence and have room for maneuver regarding the design of the psychosocial interventions. The obstacles that are raised concern the pandemic, the patients' own will and lack of comprehension due to comorbidity, which everyone appreciates as high in the patient group. The majority of the interviewees believe that patients who go in and out of treatment throughout life are the ones who have the most difficulty managing the process. The goal of the process is also highlighted as limiting the patient group. Further we identify that all interviewees believe that the National Board of Health and Welfare's regulations are clear and that there are good guidelines for interpreting them. At the same time, the interviewees state that they believe that LARO clinics interpret the regulations differently. The differences they highlight are mainly the choice of drugs for medical treatment and how restrictive they are regarding sideabuse. At last, a major theme has been about collaboration with other organisations that are perceived as both positive and negative, which is dependent on factors such as the division of roles and trust in each other's profession.
