Abstract (Swedish)
(More)

(Less)
Abstract
The patients who participated in this study were treated at Resund on behalf of Region Skåne which is running day care treatment services for the patients with a variety of eating disorders. The treatment is based on Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-E, Fairburn, 2008) which has been inspired by CBT-T (Waller et al, 2019). This quantitative study includes both pre and post-measurement in order to ensure the quality of the operation (treatment) of Resund concerning emotion regulation. The aim was to investigate the changes that take place in emotion regulation, the symptoms of eating disorders and the psychosocial functioning as a consequence of add-on therapies such as ERGT and KWS. DERS-16 scale was used to measure the emotion... (More)

DERS-16 scale was used to measure the emotion regulation and EDE-Q and CIA questionnaires to examine eating disorders and impairments in psychosocial functioning. The results imply that both groups improved the emotion regulation skills measured on mean value level but that the difficulties with emotion regulation remain. The eating disorder symptoms including their subscales Restraint, Eating Concern, Shape Concern, Weight Concern all decreased on mean value level in both groups. Moreover, the improvement in psychosocial functioning is noticeable on mean value level in both groups. The results are not significant. (Less)
