- Abstract
- The aim of this study was to increase the understanding of how school counselors describe schools' work with bullying, and also what can lead to difficulties or opportunities in that work. The study was based on qualitative semi-structured interviews with four school counselors from four different municipalities in Sweden. Yeheskel Hasenfeld’s description of Human service organizations and Michael Lipsky’s theory of street-level bureaucracies were used in the analysis. The results in this study found that schools can use different methods when they are working with bullying and still fulfill the requirements of the school. The work is often based on routines, however staff's own assessments determine how the work is carried out in... (More)

For example the participants described time as an important resource and if there is time it can lead to opportunities but if there is no time it can lead to difficulties. (Less)
- Abstract (Swedish)
(More)

(Less)
