- Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur biståndshandläggare inom äldreomsorgen upplever och beskriver den inverkan som pandemins restriktioner har haft på sättet att kommunicera och samtala med äldre under Covid-19 och vilka förändringar som uteblivna hembesök har medfört. Studien och dess resultat bygger på en kvalitativ undersökning i form av sju semistrukturerade intervjuer med biståndshandläggare från södra delen av Sverige. Empirin och studiens resultat har tolkats och analyserats med hjälp av tematisk analys. Resultatet visar att avsaknaden av hembesök och det förändrade kommunikationssättet har orsakat svårigheter för biståndshandläggaren att förstå och göra en bra bedömning av den äldres behov och situation. - The aim of this study was to investigate how case managers in the eldercare experience and describe the effect that the pandemic restrictions have had on communication and on the ways case managers communicate with the elderly and what changes absent home visits have caused. The study and its results are based on seven qualitative interviews with case managers in Sweden. Thematic analysis has been used to analyze the empiricism and results of the study. The results show that the lack of home visits and the changed ways of communicating makes it more difficult for the case manager to understand the elderly person's needs and situation.
