Kön och LVU - En kvalitativ innehållsanalys av genusskillnader i 3§ LVU

Abstract (Swedish)
Metoden som har använts i studien har varit kvalitativ forskningsmetod i form av en
kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Totalt har tretton domar studerats på grund av svårigheter i
urvalet från fyra olika förvaltningsrätter. Jag har analyserat empiri utifrån ett
genusperspektiv för att kunna urskilja om skillnader görs i bedömningar vad gäller flickor
och pojkars sociala problematik. Studien visar att en skillnad i hur socialnämnden och
förvaltningsrätten bedömer sociala problem kopplat till kön finns. Det som har
framkommit i studien är att flickors sociala problematik och dess konsekvenser beskrivs
mer utförligt än pojkarnas. I studien var det även flickor som ägnat sig åt en kriminell

verksamhet som inte föll under brottsrekvisitet utan istället beskrevs inom annat socialt
nedbrytande beteende. Det var även en pojke som enbart var misstänkt för brott men
som föll under brottsrekvisitet inom LVU. Ett förslag för vidare forskning är att genomföra
en mer omfattande studie på hur flickors och pojkars sociala problematik beskrivs i LVUdomar, genom att ha ett större urval. (Less)

(Care of young persons special provisions act) from Yvonne Hirdmans

The aim of this study was to analyze how the social problems that form the basis
for the care of boys and girls are described in judgments according to § 3 LVU
(Care of young persons special provisions act) from Yvonne Hirdmans
genderperspective. Therefore I have studied 13 cases of §3 LVU to see how girls
'and boys' social problems are described and whether there are any similarities and

study shows that there is a difference in how the social welfare board and the
administrative court assess social problems linked to gender. What has emerged in
the study is that girls 'social problems and their consequences are described in more
detail than boys'. In the study, it was also girls who engaged in a criminal activity
that did not fall under criminal props. Instead they were described in other socially
degrading behavior. There was also a boy who was only suspected of crime but who
fell under the prop of crime within LVU. A proposal for further research is to carry
out a more comprehensive study of how girls 'and boys' social problems are
described in LVU judgments, by having a larger selection. (Less)
