Abstract
Digital tools and support are used today to facilitate and streamline operations in healthcare. Digital tools and support are used today to facilitate and streamline operations in healthcare. In this thesis a qualitative study is conducted which addresses regional digitalization managers attitudes towards digital dictation and speech recognition in healthcare. The study aims to explore attitudes that affect implementation of digital dictation and speech recognition in healthcare. The empirical material has been collected through semi-structured interviews from four digitalization managers in Sweden's regions. The result from the interviews is analyzed using theories such as Technology Acceptance Model, human-technology relations, and artificial intelligence. The analysis resulted in various positive effects that digitalization managers believe exist with the technology. They also express a belief that healthcare professionals experience the technology as negative. In addition to this, the digitalization managers explain various factors that they believe affect the implementation of the technology in healthcare, such as a lack of perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, attitude towards using within the healthcare professionals and absence in the laws and ethics regarding artificial intelligence. This study has contributed to an understanding of obstacles and requirements when implementing technology in healthcare. Last but not least, the study gives an interpretation of how digitalization managers apprehend healthcare professionals and what challenges and areas for improvement should be kept in mind when working for work of change.
