Voltiak - Grid scale energy storage

Wall, Sixten (2021) In Diploma work IDEL01 20212
Industrial Design
Abstract
The main theme of this project is approaching the entire design process with logic thinking and feasible solutions at the core. Starting off with green house gas mitigation as the leading motivator, using relatively simple technology - to solve a high importance issue. The result is a system based on widely available technology, re-imagining grid level energy storage system as a mechanical and highly viable dry gravity battery.
