The discourse analysis consists of three parts; a linguistic text analysis, an ideal-type analysis and concludes with a macrosociological analysis. The results of the analyses present the conclusion that the ideal of objectivity, and consequently the standards of impartiality and factuality as well as the methods in which the authorities assess them can be understood as products of the all-encompassing rationalization of society Weber deems has shaped the modern western world.
