Modellering av utrymningshissar som utrymningsväg från djupa undermarksanläggningar

- Abstract
- Elevators could be an important alternative means of egress when it comes to evacuation. This report is the result of a model developed to calculate the efficiency of elevator evacuation in different scenarios in deep underground facilities. The model is an Excel-tool designed to be applicable in different tailor-made scenarios for analysis and comparison. This report includes four different cases that focus on comparing the differences between ascending stair evacuation and the use of emergency evacuation elevators. Due to the scarce information and uncertainty in the literature of social impact regarding usage of evacuation elevators, this is investigated in one of the cases. Results include and focus on total evacuation time, total... (More)
- Elevators could be an important alternative means of egress when it comes to evacuation. Results include and focus on total evacuation time, total number of people in need of help from rescue service and the total cost due to different designs. Results indicate that for evacuation time there is an optimal number of elevators in deep underground facilities when considering costs, total evacuation time and number of people in need of assistance. It also shows that these results are strongly connected to the evacuees’ willingness to use the elevators in an emergency. The model and data presented in this report provide useful information in both construction design as well as the calibration and validation of evacuation modelling tools. (Less)
