- Abstract
- This study examines the financial market during the latest financial market crash in 2020. The purpose of this thesis is to examine stock volatility in the healthcare sector during Covid-19. The companies included in the study were limited to ones that were classified as active in the healthcare sector on the S&P 500 index. This selection of companies is used as a proxy for the healthcare sector as a whole. The hypothesis of this thesis is that the instream of resources to the healthcare sector during 2020 would increase the value of the sector and therefore decrease the volatility.
