Did Covid-19 stabilize the healthcare sector?

Abstract
This study examines the financial market during the latest financial market crash in 2020. The purpose of this thesis is to examine stock volatility in the healthcare sector during Covid-19. The companies included in the study were limited to ones that were classified as active in the healthcare sector on the S&P 500 index. This selection of companies is used as a proxy for the healthcare sector as a whole. The hypothesis of this thesis is that the instream of resources to the healthcare sector during 2020 would increase the value of the sector and therefore decrease the volatility.
