Abstract
In this essay I will be studying the effects of border control on Sweden’s international trade, using the gravity model and a fixed effects method. The gravity model is one of the empirically most successful tools in the field of international economy today. But it is also a tool which relies on the literature and previous research for its theoretical foundation. The regression used in this essay will include the new variable time to trade as an indicator of the time that is lost and the costs that are created when goods are crossing the border of Sweden’s trading partner.
