- Reconciliation is often seen as the ultimate goal with peacebuildning and therefor, divided cities are seen as a failure. But is this really the case? In this study the two divided cities of Belfast and Mitrovica have been compared and analyzed based on four criteria; peace, justice,
truth and mercy. This to answer to what extent a divided city meets the criteria for a sustainable peace.
