Bakgrund: Meningsfulla aktiviteter är viktigt för att uppleva hälsa och välbefinnande. Idag finns en brist på meningsfulla aktiviteter för personer med demens som bor på särskilt boende för äldre. Personer med demens kan ha svårt att självständigt engagera sig i aktiviteter. Arbetsterapeuter har möjlighet att stötta människor att engagera sig i meningsfulla aktiviteter.
Syfte: Att identifiera hur görande, varande, tillhörighet och blivande, som dimensioner av mening i aktivitet, framträder i aktivitetsbaserade interventioner för personer med demenssjukdom på särskilt boende för äldre.

Syfte: Att identifiera hur görande, varande, tillhörighet och blivande, som dimensioner av mening i aktivitet, framträder i aktivitetsbaserade interventioner för personer med demenssjukdom på särskilt boende för äldre.
Metod: En litteraturöversikt med 14 artiklar om aktivitetsbaserade interventioner analyserades med deduktiv ansats och riktad innehållsanalys utifrån görande, varande, tillhörighet och blivande.
Resultat: Upplevelse av mening identifierades i de aktivitetsbaserade interventionerna utifrån tre av dimensionerna; görande, varande och tillhörighet. Interventionerna gav möjlighet att hålla sig sysselsatt, gav en stund av glädje och njutning samt en känsla av samhörighet. Blivande uteblev eftersom inget resultat utifrån denna dimension identifierades. Resultatet visar att upplevelse av mening i aktivitet är en individuell upplevelse och arbetsterapeuter behöver utgå från individen vid implementering av aktivitetsbaserade interventioner.
Slutsats: Arbetsterapeuter kan använda aktivitetsbaserade interventioner för att personer med demens på särskilt boende ska få tillgång till meningsfulla aktiviteter. (Less)

The findings show that experiences of meaning in activity are an individual experience and occupational therapists need to focus on the individual when implementing occupation-based interventions.
Conclusion: Occupational therapists can use occupation-based interventions to make meaningful activities available for people with dementia in residential aged care facilities. (Less)
