- Abstract
- The purpose of the study was to explore wheter and what possible risks that were discussed by student health prior to the introduction of distance learning during Covid-19. Also the possible consequences that the distance learning has contributed to from the school counselors perspective. The study had a qualitative approach which included six semi-structured interviews with school counselors. The school counselors were working in highs-schools in the southern parts of Sweden. When we were analyzing our results we chose to apply Aaron Antonovskys theory SOC - sense of coherence. Many students have been negatively affected by the distance learning and the lack of social interaction. The different schools have chosen to handle and remedy the consequences in different ways. It also emerged that the school counselors behaved very differently regarding being able to guarantee confidentiality in conversations with students during the closure of the schools. This was due to different information and decisions from the school management. (Less)
