- Local perceptions on global scale problems are often overlooked, focusing the attention instead on policy action or scientific reports. To challenge that, this thesis focuses on Menorca’s population, specifically on whether place attachment is related to the perception of climate change impacts in the territory and if this can translate into concrete local action against its impacts. For that, I use an ethnographic approach. I discovered that most people’s connection with the territory is deep and rooted, and that climate change impacts have already been perceived.
