This study is based on a survey-type of research with the aim to investigate whether there is a significant correlation between the amount spent on social media and 1) mental health, and 2) antisocial behaviour respectively. The research was conducted on an upper secondary school in the western part of the province Blekinge, Sweden. 97 students, male and female, between the ages of 16 to 20 years participated in answering the survey questions. The results suggest that increased time spent on social media has a positive correlation to both mental illness and being a subject to antisocial behaviour. (Less)
