En granskning av hydrogelparametrar för bioprintning

- Abstract
- Bioprinting is the act of using a 3D-printer in order to make structures out of materials that contain living cells. A big problem with this is that there is no defined standard for how this bioink should be made or what characteristics it should possess. This report intends to establish a set of criterias with which to evaluate the quality of the hydrogel used to create a bioink. This project will be based in Kemicentrum in Lund with guidance from one of the researchers at the facility. The primarily utilized method was a literature review of previous reports and articles on bioprinting in order to establish our criteria which were then tested in a practical experiment using gelatin. The result of our literature review was that there were... (More)

The primarily utilized method was a literature review of previous reports and articles on bioprinting in order to establish our criteria which were then tested in a practical experiment using gelatin. The result of our literature review was that there were not enough relevant parameters published in the articles to establish any concrete criteria. Instead, the articles were used as the basis for a set of general guidelines and desired properties concerning hydrogels used in bioprinting. What this result in combination with other similar studies meant for us was that perhaps it is currently too difficult of a task to create a standard that can satisfy all the various industries that are using bioprinting for their research.
