This study found that these new values grew from 1970 to 1990 and that this also crystallized in the legislative elections of 1981 and 1993. This study aims to establish what change took place on an individual basis and what effects this had on a macro level in the national elections. This is done by analyzing value studies and quantitative data from France between 1962 and 1993 and analysing if these changes also influenced the support for political parties of this new orientation.
