The results show that there are both hindering and promoting factors to the patient's ability to participate actively in their care. The results showed, among other things, that there are gaps in knowledge about how the information should be shared with the patient when the patient is not receptive or cannot read, hear and listen. Regarding the patient's recovery, it benefited from, among other things, receiving support in the individual and by being involved in their care process. (Less)
