- Limiting the global average temperature rise to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels is a major task that that requires profound societal changes. Many agree that changes in culture are the way to tackle environmental problems. Several social movements and environmental activists have tried to use art as a tool to educate, engage community in participation of decision making, and strengthen community identity, but it is still widely contested as to what degree art can change culture from a theoretical perspective. Although Acting for Climate can be classified as a social movement organization, there is opportunity for the company to learn and grow from insights formed through the analysis using social movement theory.
