- Abstract (Swedish)
- Abstract
- Digitalization has been frequently discussed within Competition Law over the last few years. It is not surprising that digital platforms have received a signif-icant amount of attention of among competition law experts and legislatures since a relatively few companies own the infrastructure needed for other com-panies to participate in the digital markets. The debate over the adequacy of our current competition law regulation to address new challenges posed by digitalization has intensified in the wake of recent studies and case law in EU. In recent years, EU has therefore strengthened protection by, for example, implementing GDPR. Part of this work includes reforming competition law. This paper will review one such reform, the Digital... (More)

This paper will review one such reform, the Digital Markets Act. My analysis will consider whether the act is an effective means to address the challenges posed by digitalization in digital markets and its relation to articles 101 and 102 TFEU. (Less)
