- Abstract
- This thesis concerns the research area of International visual relations. It also concerns the media platform Instagram, and how it has come to be used by Swedish politics between 2014 and 2022. The purpose of the study is to investigate whether the way Swedish political parties express visual political communication has changed. This is done through a quantitative approach. Content analysis is the main method in the study. Sweden's three biggest political parties are studied. The study is based on several interesting theories. Among other things, theories about medialisation, political communication and social media are disgusted. Digitization has created the possibility of independent media, where neither voters nor political pariter need be dependent on the mass media. Medialization has also created new communication channels between the political parties and the voters. (Less)
