The feminist approach to the analysis of hidden curriculum phenomena in school education was applied and qualitative sociological research was used to perform empirical analysis and comparison of school textbooks before and after the decree on anti-discriminatory expertise. The research shows that representations of unequal chores division, the gendering of the professions into male and female ones, dividing sports activities for boys and girls, depicturing male and female characters with stereotypical gender characteristics, and lack of non-sexist language are primary areas for improvement for school textbooks in Ukraine and indicates positive anti-discriminatory tendencies in textbooks published after the decree.
