Ledarskap och personlighet: en deskriptiv studie om vanliga och mörka drag hos ledare

Abstract (Swedish)
Denna studie ämnade att undersöka hur vanliga och mörka personlighetsdrag ser
ut bland ledare, samt titta på om mörka drag ökar i takt med ledarens
befattningsnivå. Metoden bestod av att analysera data från en tidigare studie som
undersökte personlighetsdrag bland 101 ledare, samt en litteratursökning.
Tidigare forskning visar på ett samband mellan den mörka triaden och önskan
om makt, samt en motivation till att bli rik. Resultatet i denna studie visade att
både machiavellism och psykopati ökade i takt med befattningsnivå, men endast
machiavellism visade på en signifikant korrelation. Det fanns inga signifikanta
korrelationer med avseende på femfaktorteorins personlighetsdrag. Vad gäller

gruppmedelvärden visade sig personlighetsdragen sympatiskhet, öppenhet och
samvetsgrannhet visade sig vara högst på den lägsta nivån av både
befattningsnivå och tidsomfång på anställning. Neuroticism var högst på den
andra nivån på båda variablerna. Resultaten stöttade till viss del den tidigare
forskning om sambandet mellan mörka drag och önskan om makt och pengar.
Studien ämnar bidra till forskningsområdet personlighet och ledarskap, samt
fylla forskningsgapet om mörka drag i förhållande till befattningsnivå. (Less)

Conscientiousness were highest at the lower levels of both managerial level and
duration of managerial employment, while extraversion on the managerial level

connection between dark traits and the desire for power and money. The study
intents to contribute to the research area of personality and leadership, as well
