- Abstract (Swedish)
- I have long been fascinated by the St. Pauli cemeteries in Malmö and how they relate to the city itself. A large residential area, Norra Sorgenfri, is currently being built around the cemeteries. As the city’s population density increases, more people use these cemeteries as their nearest green space. The work examines the possibilities for developing the use of St. Pauli cemeteries, as the city grows ever closer.

In the future, the location will be examined for its characteristics, room-forming elements, movements, users, and current use.The final section examines the route, entrances, and open places for mourning
and recreation.
The design proposal presents a path that runs through the three cemeteries and creates a green link between central and eastern Malmö. It includes three sculpted sites, one in each cemetery. At two of these locations, the cemetery
has been opened up to the city. (Less)
