Particularly young women working as language supporters are found to be in a vulnerable position due to experiencing discriminatory practices from both governmental employees and the refugees they support. The language supporters can be described as front line workers, a position with a lot of work and responsibility but low pay and uncertain job prospects. This is a concrete example of how Swedish society is becoming increasingly a racialising society. (Less)
