The theory suggests that due to their party size and to the fact that they have received the post of Prime Minister and a seat in the government, the Moderate Party should not be able to implement much of their policy. The study’s findings are however that the Moderate Party have not lost much at all in the coalition or in the agreement but rather have succeeded in implementing the majority of their election manifesto. This may be because of the fact that the Moderate Party might have changed their politics and its election manifesto prior to the election due to a possible coalition. The study provides valuable insights into the dynamics of coalition politics and the role of election manifestos in shaping policy outcomes. (Less)
