- Abstract
- In this qualitative study, we set out to explore the effects the pandemic had on Fountainhouse members. We narrowed this down to six members and two staff members in Falkenberg Fountainhouse and Lund Fountainhouse. Some on the other hand had more difficulties, these members often were not part of the digital community the Fountainhouse created. But some found other ways to cope with the pandemic. We found that the most protective factors the members used to cope during the pandemic were, the availability of... (More)

We found that the most protective factors the members used to cope during the pandemic were, the availability of the Fountainhouse (both digitally and in person), having some social contacts in person, and having meaningful work (both in the Fountainhouse and outside it). We also found that the pandemic created a new platform for people that have social anxiety since the implementation of digital tools made it possible to connect with members online. (Less)
