Abstract
A client group that is frequently seen in Swedish social services is parents with intellectual disabilities. One common method that is used when working with these parents is Parenting Young Children (PYC). The purpose of this study was to investigate how social workers view the treatment of parents with intellectual disabilities and the method PYC through a social constructivist perspective. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with six social workers that actively work with parents with an intellectual disability and the method.
