- Abstract
- This study examines the factors influencing the perceptions and attitudes of Poles towards Ukrainian workers in the Polish labor market, incorporating the extension of Allport (1956)’s contact theory by Pettigrew and Tropp (2006). Given the economic relationship between Ukraine and Poland, the influx of Ukrainian immigrants, and the absence of a comprehensive immigration policy, understanding these perceptions is crucial. Using immigrant intensity as a measure of exposure, the OLS regression findings reveal a positive correlation between increased exposure to Ukrainians and more favorable attitudes, which holds after controlling for various factors.
