delaktighet hos ungdomar. Fler studier inom området är dock önskvärda. (Less)
Abstract
Background: Mental illness among young people is a public health problem with
consequences that can follow the individual throughout their life. Common
consequences of mental illness among young people are activity- and participation
restrictions. Within schools there are preventive efforts, which mainly consist of
psychoeducation, to promote mental health. However, research is unclear whether
these efforts also have an occupational therapy perspective based on Hammell's
(2004) and Wilcock and Hocking's (2015) theory of doing, being, belonging and
becoming.

Aim of the study: To examine existing psychoeducational interventions for

Aim of the study: To examine existing psychoeducational interventions for
adolescents in school from an occupational therapy perspective.

Method: The essay's design is a literature review where six articles are analyzed
based on a manifest content analysis with a deductive approach.

Result: The result showed that the components of doing, belonging, and becoming
were reflected in most articles. The aspect of being was highlighted in a clear way only
in one article. Belonging is emphasized by both students themselves and intervention
leaders as one of the most important components for the promotion of mental health
for students.

Conclusion: This literature study has shown that interventions with psychoeducation
in school to some extent can contribute to increased activity and participation among
young people. However, more studies in the area are desirable. (Less)
