Abstract
An ERP implementation is an intricate process that requires comprehensive planning, designing and execution. The implementation encompasses virtually all aspects of an organization’s business processes, as well as the organizational culture. A successful ERP implementation are affected by numerous modules that needs to be thoroughly considered for an optimal solution. User involvement is one of the modules that is underestimated in the sense that the concept is not underrated, but comprehension of necessity and executing it optimally is underestimated. The purpose for this study is to understand how user involvement fuels the success of an ERP implementation. The empirical data demonstrates that user involvement is considered as an... (More)

The purpose for this study is to understand how user involvement fuels the success of an ERP implementation. The empirical data demonstrates that user involvement is considered as an essential module for the success of an ERP implementation. However, comprehending and capturing the user’s needs and requirements, as well as sufficient effort and commitment from top management is a difficult achievement. The uniqueness of an organization, the culture and the human aspects creates design methods and frameworks that can solitarily be applied to one unique organization. (Less)
