This thesis focuses on the development of financialisation and financialisation of
everyday life in Sweden during the 1980s and 1990s. These years were turbulent for the Swedish economy and contains the so called turn to the market. This thesis uses the reports of NIER to analyse and describe the financialisation of everyday life and the genera l financial history of Sweden at the time. The NIER report brings new data to the debate of financialization of everyday life in Sweeden and the thesis utilises an analytical framework presented by Husz and Larsson Heidenblad (2021) to further describe the aspect of financialisation of everyday life through the reports.
