- Abstract
- The present thesis explores the requirement of the waiting period to grant
family reunification to Third Country Nationals from the perspective of
human rights law. It examines how this requirement, which currently forms

perspectives concerning the intersection of immigration statutes, family

contributes to enhancing comprehension of the potential human rights
challenges posed by family reunification requirements for TCNs. It delves
into the interplay between the right to family life and the efficacy of human
rights in navigating the complexities arising from limiting family
reunification affecting individual human rights. (Less) - Popular Abstract
