- Abstract
- The aim of the study was to examine how counselors at the women's clinic relate to existential questions in the meeting with patients related to social work in a healthcare setting. The intention was to look closer at what challenges the staff faces, as well as what they find obstacles that stop or make it difficult to talk about existential issues. This was investigated through semi-structured interviews with seven staff members at the women's clinic in a healthcare setting in Southern Sweden. The main results show that the staff faces challenges such as starting where the patient is, the importance of interaction, and the need for control versus acceptance.
