- Abstract
- This bachelor project is about textile crafts
traditionally performed in Sweden and the
textile crafters who perform the crafts in their
homes.
The main questions asked and investigated in
this project are:
HOW CAN THE STATUS OF TEXTILE
CRAFTS BE UPLIFTED?
&
HOW CAN THE ONGOING TEXTILE
CRAFTS PROJECTS BE ASSIGNED A
CENTRAL PLACE IN THE HOME?
The project was carried out using a research
phase when the history of textile crafts and its
prominent figures was looked into. Interviews
were held, starting of a phase of ideation
where a concept was created. In the following
realization phase a prototype was built.
The result of this project is a combined cabinet
